happy first day of spring

I wore this outfit on one of the first warm days we had. It was a little cool but I was so happy the temperatures were rising that I couldn't wait. I like the dress peeking out from under the jacket. This is one of my favorite dresses and I'm sure it will be featured here often. None of the pictures turned out well but my hair is braided and pinned in the back :). Recently I've been trying to experiment more, especially with braids. You may have noticed--I love braids.

The purple flower ring was found at a thrift store in Norfolk and I've worn it every day ever since. The bottom flower ring was found there as well, I think. It broke almost immediately and I just got around to fixing it. Now I can have double the hippie power. The pin was an impulse buy at a thrift store. I wear it a lot as a necklace but I thought it fit in very nicely in this outfit. The bracelet is a gift from Boyfriend who found it at an antique mall in New England and polished it up for me! I wear it every day. It is so delicate and simple that it goes with everything.

beauty in imperfections

This Monday, I received an email informing me I had won Delightfully-Tacky's giveaway. I was excited to pick a piece of jewelery from Kdikio Vintage. I think I won because I needed something to look forward to this week.
Today my little package arrived! It was wrapped so adorably!

I agonized over choosing just one piece until I saw these little spectacles!
I knew instantly that they had to be mine!


I added them to my pile of necklaces
&& am hoping these 'Wiley Brains' will help me on my math midterm.

home sweet home?

I'm home again. Time to start organizing my room.
Boyfriend and I uncovered the bed so I can sleep here.
[Which totally sucks; I miss my bedmate.]
The next few days will be spent cleaning this mess up.

I miss Richmond. I was relaxed. I caught a fish!

I played with fuzzies other than my own.

Mostly I got to hang out with this kid 24/7.
For one week we were not apart at all.
Now I will be going hours, and maybe days, without seeing him.
Poo.

p.s. I love this sunglasses or "windshields" as Boyfriend calls them.

This is from a 7-11. I love the idea of wine; so far I've only found one I like (this isn't it).
Went to work with Boyfriend & watched The Usual Suspects. Kevin Spacey has this amazing ability to always be devious & creepy & still awesome. Very good movie!



I love finding notes but these art journals/diary were almost (almost) too personal to read. Beautiful sketches though.

Both of my thrifted new shoes hurt my feet! Wicked Witch of the West effect =)

My Lolita sunglasses & my vintage lilac dress were waiting for me at home! YAY!!
