The title is in reference to a certain cocktail. I've been drinking wine for awhile, which may explain why I find it funny, ironic, silly? This is my new hair. A bit of it is bleached and fire red, a bit of it is violet red, the rest is blood red. Want to appeal to a quasi goth? Call the hair colour blood red. The blood red is actually very vibrant. I took these photos at eight in the morning so the light isn't very strong. I need to get some photos in daylight. First time I've been a red head in over two years. It's good to come home.

  1. wow the hair is fantastically edgy! you rock it!

I just read your Wednesday post, a recap of month 2, and I appreciate your honesty. I love studying abroad and I'm so glad I picked Edinburgh and will be here for a year, but its rough sometimes. I think we've both had hardships, but for different reasons. The first month here for me was like meeting a future good friend who you initially don't get along with, bad first impression. Now I'm growing closer to this city, but still haven't totally hit my stride (I'm jogging here haha, to keep up this crappy simile ;). Even though I wasn't entirely happy back home, I keep thinking of how much of a learning experience being here is and how learning experiences are necessary, but not fun at the time. Sometimes I just want to fit in and be at home, but its tough when you're trying to break into already established friend groups and you aren't a native. So I inevitably think of my friends back home and how I already had them, but now I'm purposely away from them and I miss that consistent camaraderie and knowing I had someone who understood me.
