My Trip to the White House

This morning I went on a field trip to the White House with my Women in American History class. It's so exciting. Just walking across the lawn was exhilarating; all I could think about was how many important and influential people have walked where I was walking. Unfortunately, cameras (and a million other things) were banned from the White House so the only photos I have are cell phone photos after we finished the "tour".

This is the door we exited from.

The tour was self-guided and we only were allowed to walk through the East Room, Green Room, Blue Room, Red Room (my favorite), and the State Dining Room. We also got to peek into the library, Vermeil Room, and China Room.

White House roses are beautiful!
The rooms have such beautiful curtains and furniture. Also, the chandeliers in the hallways were sparkling and perfect!

A photo of the guns for Boyfriend.

Woohoo! The lawn (and me, below) behind the fence!

We walked past the Treasury Department on the way to and from the metro. Another beautiful building. I would have killed to have Frank (my D-SLR) with me. Oh well, another time.

This women made me really happy on the metro. Sunflowers always remind of my mom (hi mom!).
Outfit post to come.
